Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026
By using this website or ordering services from Apostille Global Services, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the site or place an order.
Who We Are
Apostille Global Services is a private document authentication service. We are not a government agency. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the California Secretary of State, the California Department of Public Health, the U.S. Department of State, any court, any consulate, or any other government agency. We do not provide legal advice, immigration advice, or tax advice, and nothing on this site should be treated as such.
Not Legal Advice
We provide procedural information and document preparation support, not legal advice. For advice about your legal rights or which legal document fits your situation, consult a licensed attorney. Our tools, packets, guides, and support staff are not a substitute for legal counsel and do not create an attorney-client relationship.
Not Immigration Advice
We are not immigration attorneys or immigration consultants and do not provide immigration advice. We prepare apostille and authentication paperwork only. If your matter involves visas, asylum, adjustment of status, deportation defense, work authorization, or any other immigration relief, consult a licensed immigration attorney or an accredited representative recognized by the U.S. Department of Justice. Under California Business & Professions Code sections governing immigration consultants and the "notario" title, we make no representation of any authority to advise on immigration matters.
Automated Pre-Check (AI Review)
Our $10 Automated Review is an instant automated pre-check — helpful, not a guarantee. It reviews your packet against common Secretary of State and embassy rejection patterns and returns a machine-generated verdict. It does not guarantee acceptance and is not a substitute for a human specialist review. The no-rejection guarantee below applies only to the Human Specialist Review and Full Service tiers.
Scope of Service
Our fees pay for document review, packet preparation, courier handling, tracking, and customer support. Government fees (California Secretary of State, U.S. Department of State, county recorder, notary public, embassy or consulate) are separate and are the customer's responsibility unless a written quote states they are included. Turnaround estimates depend on current government processing times and are not guaranteed.
Customer Responsibilities
You confirm that the documents you submit are truthful, unaltered, and lawful to authenticate. You are responsible for confirming the destination country's requirements before ordering, including whether a translation, embassy legalization, or additional local certification is required after the apostille. You are responsible for the accuracy of names, addresses, and destination details you provide us.
No Guarantee of Outcome
Government processing times, rejections by an authenticating office, and acceptance decisions by a receiving party abroad are outside our control. We do not guarantee that any specific document will be accepted by a foreign government, employer, school, or other receiving party.
No-Rejection Guarantee (Human Specialist Review & Full Service Only)
The no-rejection guarantee applies only to packets we prepared under Full Service, or packets that passed our $40 Human Specialist Review. If the California Secretary of State or the U.S. Department of State rejects the packet for a reason within our control (formatting, ordering, notarial certificate type, missing authentication), our remedy is to fix and resubmit the packet at no additional service charge. The guarantee does not cover: (i) government fee changes; (ii) errors introduced by the client after our review; (iii) issues with the underlying document (forgery, wrong issuing office, wrong signer); (iv) the $10 Automated Pre-Check, which is explicitly not guaranteed; (v) acceptance decisions by foreign consulates, employers, schools, or other receiving parties abroad. See our Guarantee page for the full terms.
Pricing Transparency
Every checkout itemizes three separate line items: (1) our service fee, (2) government fees (Secretary of State, U.S. Department of State, county recorder, notary, embassy, or consulate) charged as a pass-through with no markup, and (3) shipping. Government fees are set by the issuing agency and change without notice; we pass through the current amount at time of filing.
Uploaded Documents
When you upload a document scan (for our packet review or Full Service), we use it only to perform the review or service you requested. We do not sell your documents, do not use them for marketing or model training, and do not share them with third parties except service providers required to complete your order (notaries, translators, couriers, government agencies). Upload retention: scans are retained for 60 days after order completion for audit and re-submission, then deleted. You may request earlier deletion at any time by emailing us. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Refunds
Service fees are refundable only for work not yet performed. Once we have begun preparation, notarization, courier dispatch, or submission, the portion of the service fee representing completed work is non-refundable. Government pass-through fees, notary fees, courier fees, and translation fees are non-refundable once incurred with the third party. Refund requests should be sent to the email address below.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from an order is limited to the service fees you paid us for that order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including missed deadlines, travel disruption, or lost business opportunity.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site or our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
